Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho return to the starting XI but Thiago Alcantara is ruled out as Liverpool get set to take on Leicester City in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made several changes to the side that started in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur for their away Premier League encounter against Leicester City.

Two of the changes come in defence where Virgil van Dijk returns to the lineup after completing his self-isolation. He starts in place of Ibrahima Konate while Kostas Tsimikas replaces the suspended Andrew Robertson. Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold keep hold of their places, with Alisson Becker lining up in goal.

There are wholesale changes in the middle of the park, as Fabinho also comes back into the team after a Covid-related absence. He replaces Tyler Morton at the base of the midfield while Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain come into the lineup at the expense of James Milner and Naby Keita. Thiago Alcantara misses out of the squad due to a muscular issue.

The frontline remains unaltered though as Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane, with Roberto Firmino again on the bench. Takumi Minamino is also absent due to a muscle problem.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Tsimikas, Henderson, Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Jota, Mane.
