Christian Pulisic starts upfront for Chelsea against Everton as Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku are both absent from the matchday squad.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has made a couple of changes to the side that faced Leeds United for their Premier League clash against Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Both the changes come in the attacking department as Timo Werner, and Kai Havertz make way for Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech. Both the German internationals are absent from the Blues’ matchday squad, while club-record signing Romelu Lukaku is also missing from the roster for the Everton clash. Mason Mount keeps hold of his place in the third attacking position for Chelsea.

N’Golo Kante is back fit but finds himself on the bench as Tuchel has stuck with the midfield partnership of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho yet again. Reece James and Marcos Alonso continue as the two full-backs for the home team.

There are no changes at the back either as the three-person defensive line of Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva and captain Cesar Azpilicueta remains untouched. Meanwhile, Edouard Mendy continues between the sticks for Chelsea. Apart from Ross Barkley, the Blues have no attacking substitutions on the bench as Callum Hudson-Odoi is also missing, along with Lukaku, Werner and Havertz.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Mendy, Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, James, Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Alonso, Ziyech, Pulisic, Mount.
