Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have been retained while Ibrahima Konate and Nathaniel Phillips start for Liverpool as they get set to face AC Milan.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made several changes to the lineup that started against Wolves at the weekend for their UEFA Champions League clash against AC Milan.

With qualification for the knockouts secured, Klopp has opted to rotate his troops, as Ibrahima Konate and Nathaniel Phillips get rare starts at the heart of the defence ahead of Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk. Neco Williams comes in at right-back, whereas Kostas Tsimikas starts on the left side. Alisson Becker, however, is retained in goal.

There are wholesale changes in midfield as youngster Tyler Morton slots in at the base, with the remaining two places occupied by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Takumi Minamino, who could take up higher positions on the pitch for Liverpool.

Klopp has decided to stick with his frontline attackers, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, in the final third against Milan. Divock Origi, who scored in the win against Wolves, replaces Diogo Jota in the centre-forward slot. Youngsters Conor Bradley, Max Woltman and James Norris, are named among the substitutes.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson, Williams, Konate, Phillips, Tsimikas, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Morton, Minamino, Salah, Origi, Mane.
