Timo Werner and Ruben Loftus-Cheek start while Mason Mount finds himself on the bench again as Chelsea gear up to take on Manchester United.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has made three changes to the lineup that featured against Juventus in the midweek for their pivotal Premier League clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues boss has decided to stick by with the same three-man backline of Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva and Andreas Christensen in front of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. The first change comes at left wing-back, where Marcos Alonso starts in place of the injured Ben Chilwell while Reece James is a permanent fixture at right wing-back.

N’Golo Kante misses out in midfield due to an injury and has been replaced by the impressive Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The Chelsea academy graduate partners Jorginho in the middle of the park against Manchester United. Tuchel has retained Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the attacking midfield slots, which means Mason Mount finds himself warming the bench yet again.

The final change comes up top wherein Timo Werner comes into the starting XI at the expense of Christian Pulisic. Romelu Lukaku has recovered from his injury and finds himself among the substitutes against his former club, Manchester United.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Mendy, Chalobah, Silva, Rudiger, James, Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Alonso, Ziyech, Hudson-Odoi, Werner.
