Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James return but Cesar Azpilicueta has been benched as Chelsea prepare to take on Norwich City at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel has made five changes to the side that started in the 4-0 win over Malmo FF in the midweek UEFA Champions League clash as Chelsea get set to play hosts to Norwich City at Stamford Bridge. There are no shuffles in goal, where Edouard Mendy keeps hold of his spot.

The first change comes in the three-man central defensive unit, where Trevoh Chalobah replaces Andreas Christensen. The prodigious young defender accompanies Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva in the back three. As for the wing-back pairing, Ben Chilwell continues on the left flank, but Reece James comes in for captain Cesar Azpilicueta on the right wing.

The third change in the starting lineup comes in the middle of the park, where Mateo Kovacic returns, with N’Golo Kante making way. Jorginho, though, retains his spot in the starting lineup and will don the captain’s armband for Chelsea against Norwich.

The final two changes come in the attacking unit, where Mason Mount is the only player continuing in the starting lineup. The aforementioned changes, though, have been forced upon Tuchel owing to the injuries of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku, with Kai Havertz and Callum Hudson-Odoi starting in their stead.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Mendy, Chalobah, Silva, Rudiger, James, Jorginho, Kovacic, Chilwell, Mount, Havertz, Hudson-Odoi
