Mikel Arteta has fielded a lineup with minimal changes replacing the injured Granit Xhaka with Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Arsenal have come to the Amex Stadium looking to build momentum after the North London Derby win last weekend. There were some expected changes in either personnel or the team’s shape, and Mikel Arteta has fielded a strong lineup to face Brighton.

Aaron Ramsdale starts in goal yet again after some impressive performances since signing for the club, with Bernd Leno on the bench. Takehiro Tomiyasu keeps his place at right-back, while Ben White and Gabriel continue their growing central defensive partnership. Kieran Tierney starts at left-back.

Arteta had to make a decision in midfield, and the manager has decided on replacing the injured Granit Xhaka with Albert Sambi Lokonga. The Belgian will partner Thomas Partey in a double midfield pivot.

Martin Odegaard starts in his regular advanced role behind the striker. Bukayo Saka starts ahead of Nicolas Pepe on the right side after an impressive performance over Tottenham, while Emile Smith Rowe keeps his place on the left. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the line for Arsenal again, with Alexandre Lacazette on the bench.

Arsenal Starting Lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Lokonga; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Aubameyang
