Bruno Fernandes will captain Manchester United while Amad Diallo and Marcus Rashford will be on the bench when they take on Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made several changes to the side that beat Newcastle at the weekend for their UEFA Europa League Round of 32 second leg contest against Real Sociedad.

The first alteration comes in the goal where Dean Henderson replaces first-choice custodian David de Gea. There are a couple of chances in defence as well with captain Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw dropping out to make way for Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw respectively. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof hold on to their spots in the side.

In midfield, given the injury problems, no changes are made as both Fred and Nemanja Matic start again for United while Bruno Fernandes is retained in the attacking midfield slot as well. The Portuguese will be donning the captain’s armband in Maguire’s absence tonight.

Out wide Daniel James gets another run out after having scored in the last two matches while Mason Greenwood comes into the team in place of Marcus Rashford. Anthony Martial is retained at the top, with the likes of Amad Diallo, Shola Shoretire options on the bench.

Manchester United Starting Lineup: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Lindelof, Telles; Fred, Matic; Greenwood, Fernandes, James; Martial.
