Mason Mount and Timo Werner start while Marcos Alonso makes his first appearance since September as Chelsea take on Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has made a few significant changes to the side that started against Wolves in midweek, for their Premier League contest against Burnley.

There are no alterations at the back, with Edouard Mendy lining up in goal shielded by the three-man defensive unit of captain Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger. Callum Hudson-Odoi, who impressed in the midweek clash, gets the nod as the right-sided wing-back.

The first big change comes on the left side, with Marcos Alonso coming in for Ben Chilwell. The Spaniard is set to get a new lease on life at Chelsea after being frozen out under ex-boss Frank Lampard. Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic continue in the middle of the park, with the fit-again N’Golo Kante making the substitutes’ bench.

Mason Mount gets the nod as the lone attacking midfielder after making a cameo appearance in the last game. The England international is likely to play off of the strike partnership of Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner, both of whom come into the side, replacing Olivier Giroud and Kai Havertz. Hakim Ziyech is missing from the matchday squad.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso; Mount; Werner, Abraham.
