Jordan Henderson starts as a centre-back once again, while Xherdan Shaqiri makes midfield as Liverpool prepare to take on Manchester United at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has made six changes to the side that started in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup last time out as Liverpool get set to play hosts to Manchester United at Anfield. The first shuffle comes in goal, with Caoimhin Kelleher making way for Alisson Becker.

In front of the Brazilian goalkeeper, Liverpool seem to have set up in their usual 4-3-3 formation, with Fabinho the only player retaining his spot at the back. The Brazilian international is set to be accompanied by captain Jordan Henderson at the heart of the Liverpool defence, with Joel Matip missing out. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson return as the full-back pairing.

Up ahead in midfield, Georginio Wijnaldum is the only player to keep hold of his spot, especially with Liverpool captain Henderson dropping into the defensive line. Thiago Alcantara and Xherdan Shaqiri come into the starting lineup, with Curtis Jones surprisingly missing out.

Finally, in attack, Roberto Firmino is back to reprise his trademark false nine role, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane being the two wide men for Liverpool. The likes of Divock Origi, Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and others will be the backup options against Manchester United for Klopp.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Henderson, Fabinho, Robertson, Shaqiri, Thiago, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino
