Mohamed Salah returns while Kostas Tsimikas has come in for Andrew Robertson as Liverpool prepare to take on Atalanta in a UEFA Champions League Group D tie.

Jurgen Klopp has made five changes to the side that started in the 3-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League as Liverpool get set to lock horns with Atalanta at Anfield in a UEFA Champions League Group D clash. There are no shuffles in goal, with Alisson Becker starting once again.

The defence almost has an entirely new look, with Joel Matip the only player retaining his place at the back. Matip has a new partner at the heart of the Liverpool defence in Rhys Williams. Neco Williams starts in the right-back slot, with Kostas Tsimikas coming in for Andrew Robertson on the left flank.

James Milner has moved to the three-man midfield, with Klopp forced into one change due to the injury that Naby Keita sustained this past weekend. Milner starts alongside Georginio Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones in the middle of the park, with Fabinho rested.

Along with Robertson and Fabinho, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota have also been given a breather, with Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi starting in their stead. Salah and Origi have Sadio Mane for company in the Liverpool attack, with Salah possibly leading the line against Atalanta.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson, Neco Williams, Rhys Williams, Matip, Tsimikas, Milner, Wijnaldum, Jones, Mane, Salah, Origi
