Brandon Williams starts at right-back while Scott McTominay and Odion Ighalo feature for Manchester United in their Europa League Round of 16 tie against LASK.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rung in the changes for his side’s UEFA Europa League contest against Austrian outfit LASK. There is a change in shape with Manchester United reverting to 4-2-3-1 after fielding a three-man backline last time out against Manchester City.

Sergio Romero takes his place between the sticks as is the norm for European fixtures while Eric Bailly returns at the heart of the defence alongside Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire. With Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot unavailable, Brandon Williams gets the nod at right-back on Thursday while Luke Shaw is retained on the left.

Scott McTominay, who made a substitute appearance in the derby at the weekend, returns to the starting lineup, partnering Fred in the midfield double pivot. Nemanja Matic drops out. January signing Bruno Fernandes continues in the No. 10 role for Manchester United against LASK.

Juan Mata and Daniel James occupy the wide areas for Manchester United, while Odion Ighalo gets the nod as the lone striker due to Anthony Martial’s injury-enforced absence. Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood are named among the substitutes.

Manchester United Confirmed XI: Romero; Williams, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Mata, Fernandes, James; Ighalo
