Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is back into the starting XI for their Premier League game against Southampton at Anfield on Saturday.

Liverpool have made just one change to the side that defeated West Ham United earlier in the week, for their clash against Southampton. The alteration comes in midfield where Fabinho makes a return to the starting XI. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moves into the attack in order to make room for the Brazilian, with Divock Origi dropping out to the bench.

The rest of the starting lineup is unchanged as Alisson Becker continues between the sticks for Liverpool, protected by a backline comprising of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson as the full-backs with Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk at the centre. Dejan Lovren has been named among the substitutes.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson continues in midfield, albeit in a slightly advanced role following the return of Fabinho. The third slot in the centre of the park is once again occupied by Georginio Wijnaldum, while the fit-again Adam Lallana is among the substitutes against his former club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain takes up one of the three attacking slots for Liverpool with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino being the obvious picks for the remaining spots. That means, January signing Takumi Minamino’s wait for his first Premier League start continues.

Liverpool Confirmed XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Firmino
