Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has made three changes to the starting XI that defeated Burnley last weekend for their away game against Arsenal.

Manchester United have recalled full-back duo Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw to the starting lineup for their New Year’s Day clash against arch rivals Arsenal. The duo replace Red Devils’ skipper Ashley Young and Brandon Williams, who had started in the weekend win against Burnley.

There are no other changes in the Manchester United backline, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continuing with the central defensive partnership of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire. David de Gea continues in goal after keeping his first Premier League clean sheet since September against Burnley.

With no Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay, Solskjaer has stuck with the pairing of the resurgent Fred and Nemanja Matic in the middle of the park against Arsenal. There is a change in the No. 10 role though, as the manager has opted to drop Andreas Pereira to the bench, despite the Brazilian’s impressive performance at the weekend.

Jesse Lingard comes into the side at the expense of the Brazilian and will be looking to end his Premier League goal drought on Wednesday. The England international will be flanked by Daniel James and Marcus Rashford, with Anthony Martial spearheading the Manchester United attack at the Emirates. Mason Greenwood finds himself on the bench again.

Manchester United Confirmed XI: de Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, Matic; James, Lingard, Rashford; Martial
