Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has recalled Mason Mount to the starting XI in place of Mateo Kovacic for his team’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has made just one alteration to the side that started the midweek clash against Lille, for the Bournemouth game this weekend.

The change comes in the middle of the park, where Mateo Kovacic has dropped to the bench, having starting every single game after Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Newcastle United back in October. The Croatian has been replaced by academy graduate Mason Mount in the lineup

The rest of the lineup remains intact as Kepa Arrizabalaga starts in goal and is shielded by the backline comprising of Cesar Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, Antonio Rudiger and Emerson Palmieri, with Reece James on the bench once again.

Mount will be partnered in the Chelsea midfield by Jorginho and N’Golo Kante, while the attacking trident of Willian, Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic start again. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Michy Batshuayi and Pedro are the attacking reinforcements on the bench for Lampard to call upon if need be.

Chelsea Confirmed XI: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho, Mount; Willian, Abraham, Pulisic
