Jurgen Klopp has handed Adam Lallana a rare start in the Liverpool midfield as the Reds look to continue their unbeaten start when they face Aston Villa.

Liverpool were made to toil during the midweek against Arsenal, but made a comeback to survive and qualify for the next round of the Carabao Cup. However, Jurgen Klopp made 11 changes from the side that won 2-1 at Tottenham, which means he will have a healthy starting XI against Aston Villa.

There is just one change to the eleven that came back from an early Harry Kane goal to win against Tottenham last gameweek. Alisson Becker starts in goal, with the cavalry of Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren and Trent Alexander-Arnold supporting him defensively.

The sole change comes in midfield, with Adam Lallana starting in place of Fabinho. Jordan Henderson is likely to assume the holding midfield role, with Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum acting as the Box-to-Box midfielders. The front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino remain intact for Liverpool against Aston Villa.

Liverpool Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Salah, Firmino
