Sadio Mane is match-fit enough to make the matchday squad as Liverpool prepare to take on Norwich City in the 2019-20 Premier League season opener at Anfield.

Sadio Mane had joined the Liverpool first-team squad late for pre-season preparations following his involvement with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations. As a result, he is not fit enough to make the starting lineup for the Reds, as they get set to kick-start their 2019-20 Premier League campaign against Norwich City.

Mane though, is fit enough to be named among the substitutes, with Divock Origi taking what would have otherwise been his place in the Liverpool attack. Origi is partnered by regular faces, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, who will have the onus on them to make the difference against Norwich.

In the middle of the park, there are no unexpected picks, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho giving Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson company. James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be midfield options on the bench for the Reds.

At the back, Jurgen Klopp has chosen to pick the same defensive quartet that had started against Manchester City in the Community Shield tie. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are the full-backs, while Joe Gomez partners Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence, with Alisson taking his place in goal.
