Manchester United have been boosted by the return of midfielder Ander Herrera for their crunch top-four clash against arch-rivals Chelsea on Sunday.

Manchester United have opted to start wantaway midfielder Ander Herrera for their all-important clash against fellow top-four hopefuls Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Spaniard returned from a hamstring injury earlier this week and has straight away been thrust back into action.

Herrera joins Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba in the Manchester United midfield, with Andreas Pereira getting benched while his compatriot Fred has been omitted from the matchday squad altogether. The fit-again Scott McTominay is named among the substitutes.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reverted to a back-four after fielding a three-man backline against Manchester City earlier in the week. Ashley Young and Luke Shaw slot in as the full-backs for the home team, while there is a change at centre-back with the fit-again Eric Bailly partnering Victor Lindelof in place of Chris Smalling.

Juan Mata slots in as the lone attacking midfielder for the Red Devils against his former employers, with Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku starting as the two forwards. Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial provide options from the bench for Manchester United.
