Unai Emery rings in the changes as Xhaka and Koscielny are absent from the squad, while Aubameyang is only fit for the bench as Iwobi takes his place.

Unai Emery has made some significant changes to his starting lineup for the crunch clash against Newcastle. Granit Xhaka who was suspected of being injured is absent from the squad; as is regular captain Laurent Koscielny. Aaron Ramsey is the captain for the evening, who will be partnered by Matteo Guendouzi in central midfield.

Emery is set to continue with three defenders at the back after recent successes. Shkodran Mustafi comes in place of Koscielny to partner Sokratis and Nacho Monreal. Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac start as the wing-backs and will be designated with the responsibility of providing the width for Arsenal going forward.

Ramsey and Guendouzi form the central midfield partnership tonight. In attack, Mesut Ozil starts, and the German is partnered by Alexandre Lacazette and Alex Iwobi as tonight’s favoured front three. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are only fit enough for the bench.
