Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has handed Phil Jones and Juan Mata rare starts for Manchester United’s home game against Watford.

Manchester United will face off against Javi Gracia’s Watford side at Old Trafford without defensive mainstay Victor Lindelof in the starting lineup.

The Swede has established himself as a regular in the first-team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has been one of the Red Devils’ most consistent performers, but misses out against the Hornets, possibly owing to the birth of his first child earlier in the week, due to which he had withdrawn from international duty as well.

Phil Jones starts in defence alongside Chris Smalling, while Ashley Young returns at right-back after having been suspended for Manchester United’s last game against Wolves. Luke Shaw completes the back four for the home team.

The midfield trio of Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera all feature from the kick-off, while Juan Mata gets a rare start in attack ahead of Jesse Lingard. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial complete the lineup for Manchester United, with Romelu Lukaku dropping out to the bench.
