Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made wholesale changes to the side that started against Fulham last weekend, for his team’s UEFA Champions League encounter against Valencia.

Manchester United club record signing Paul Pogba is back into the starting lineup for their final Champions League Group H game against Valencia at the Mestalla.

The Frenchman did not start in the Red Devils’ last two league games, but has been recalled by Jose Mourinho. He teams up with Fred and Marouane Fellaini in the three-man midfield for United. Academy graduate Andreas Pereira starts on the left flank against the team with whom he spent a season on loan.

Only Juan Mata, Phil Jones and Romelu Lukaku have been retained from the side that thrashed Fulham at the weekend. Sergio Romero starts in goal, with Antonio Valencia and Marcos Rojo as the full-backs, while Eric Bailly returns in defence.

Teenage prospects James Garner and Mason Greenwood have been named on the bench by Mourinho.
