Mesut Ozil has returned to fitness in time as the German starts for Arsenal in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.

David Ospina starts in goal ahead of veteran Petr Cech in a rather surprising move, with many believing that the former Chelsea man would be favoured in such a crunch tie. Arsene Wenger will also be glad to have Mesut Ozil be fit in time for the match, especially with Henrikh Mkhitaryan missing out due to injury.

Danny Welbeck starts, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ineligible to represent Arsenal in European competitions this season, having already represented Borussia Dortmund.
