Arsene Wenger has made two changes to the Arsenal side that faced Everton in their final Premier League outing ahead of the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker makes his first start of the season – in what is, perhaps, their most important game of the campaign – as he replaces the suspended Laurent Koscielny at the heart of the Arsenal defence.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the other change made by Wenger, with the Englishman starting in place of Gabriel, who sustained a knee injury last week. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been deployed as the left wing-back with Nacho Monreal slotting in the back-three.

The rest of the side remains unchanged, with Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck the attacking trio and the men who will be tasked with the burden of goalscoring.
