Thibaut Courtois has been rock solid in goal for Chelsea all season, saving his side the blushes on several occasions over the course of the campaign.
Showing terrific reactions and positional skills, Courtois has well and truly risen up to be a key figure for Chelsea in a season in which the likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have dominated the headlines for their goalscoring prowess.
Come Chelsea training on Monday, however, Courtois showed that he has powerful left footed shot in his locker as well, as he sweetly struck a free kick from around 20 yards out, slotting the ball into the top corner.
Courtois posted the video on Twitter, with the caption: “Sometimes I score too!” And it seems like the likes of David Luiz, Willian and Cesc Fabregas may soon have competition for free kick duty from the Belgian shot stopper.
