Olivier Giroud scored a ridiculous goal that sent the Emirates wild earlier today against Crystal Palace. The Frenchman’s acrobatic scorpion kick left Wayne Henessey with absolutely no chance of saving it and after Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s goal earlier this week, Giroud has quickly made everyone forget about the Armenian’s effort.
This is a goal that had the Sky Sports pundits debating over whether it was the best goal ever and as much as that is up for debate, there is no argument as to whether it is a goal of the season contender or not. A video of his sublime effort can be seen below :
