Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos rose to the occasion when Los Blancos supporters needed him the most, heading in the leveller with a minute to go to rescue a point for his side.

Barcelona hosted fierce rivals Real Madrid in the much-anticipated first El Clasico of the season, with the stakes high in the chase for the La Liga title.

For Real Madrid, it was a chance to extend their unbeaten start to the season, and extend their lead over the Blaugrana. Barcelona, on the other hand, were looking to close the gap on Los Blancos and end their 32-match undefeated streak in the process.

The start of the match, though, was drab as neither side took the initiative to take the risk and grab the game by the scruff of its neck. The start of the second half though, finally brought about the eagerly awaited goal as Luis Suarez’s header in the 53rd minute broke the deadlock.

But Luis Enrique’s men failed to kill the game after grabbing the lead and were limping to a hard fought win when Barca hearts were cruelly broken. Sergio Ramos levelled the game for Real Madrid with a minute left in the match with a headed goal that was reminiscent of the leveller he scored against Atletico Madrid in the 2014 UEFA Champions League final.

Relive the goal that silenced the Camp Nou faithfuls and sent the Real Madrid supporters into a tizzy.
