As a part of BT Sport’s #GoalsRecreated challenge, Dele Alli took up the task of replicating the sweet strike by Ronaldinho in the knockout phase of the Champions League.
That the wonder goal was against Tottenham’s city rivals Chelsea is likely another added inspiration for the English international.
Ronaldinho took the ball up at the edge of the box against a Chelsea side coached by Jose Mourinho, who is now the manager of Manchester United, and slotted the ball into the bottom left corner after some intricate and beautiful movement.
It is difficult to replicate the master of dribbles and flair, as Dele Alli found out, failing to recreate the wonder goal in the first two attempts. But, the player got around to completing the task on his third attempt.
