21-year-old Japanese striker Takuma Asano was signed by Arsene Wenger and Arsenal earlier this summer, but has been loaned out to VfB Stuttgart because of difficulties in gaining a work permit to play in the Premier League.

Asano scored for Japan in their World Cup qualifiers against Thailand. He controlled a long ball, shrugged off an admittedly inept Thai defender and slotted the ball in for Japan’s second goal in a resounding 2-0 victory.

Asano has been marked by Arsene Wenger as one for the future, and he looks to be Japan’s best hope and heir to the mantle of aging AC Milan forward Keisuke Honda.

Check out Asano’s goal in the video below.
