Chelsea are linked with a shock swoop for PSG defender David Luiz. The Brazilian left the Blues in 2014 and could make a shock return to Stamford Bridge on deadline day.
According to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail, Chelsea have tabled a £32 million bid for PSG centre-back David Luiz. The Brazilian left the Blues in the summer of 2014 for £50 million – a world-record fee for a defender.
However, since his move to France, Luiz’s performances have been on the decline, which has led fans to question Antonio Conte’s decision:
If David Luiz signs for Chelsea this transfer window – I’ll give everyone £20 – not going to happen #CFC

1994 – If David Luiz moves to Chelsea it’ll be his greatest comeback since he became Mayor of Springfield in 1994. Sideshow.

Chelsea re-signing David Luiz would be the biggest panic buy in the history of panic buys. He’s an awful defender.

OMG I saw David Luiz was trending and for a second I was worried he’d died. It turns out he’s just a pawn in a money laundering scheme.

David Luiz symbolises why I love football. It just can’t be all about winning. For the players maybe but for fans it should be enjoyment.

Depends what you prefer in a defender, diving into tackles or backing off into your own net.
David Luiz vs Gary Cahill.

I’ll welcome David Luiz back with open arms, an amazing character to have in a dressing room. The type you need in big games too. #cfc
