After spending an illustrious 12 years with the German national side, Bastian Schweinsteiger has decided to bring his international career to an end.

 

On Friday, Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger announced his retirement from international football in order to focus on extending his club career. The German has had a hugely successful international career and has earned a total of 120 caps for Germany. Schweinsteiger’s biggest international honour was undoubtedly the World Cup triumph in 2014.
