Borussia Dormund have officially announced via their Twitter handle that Armenian play-maker Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be leaving to join Manchester United. Fans were overjoyed as Jose Mourinho and United wrapped up their third signing of the summer.

After Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Old Trafford prepares to welcome a third new Red Devil. Henrikh Mkhitaryan registered a Bundesliga highest of 15 assists this past season, and has been a vital part of Borussia Dormund’s second placed finish in the Bundesliga.

The attacking midfielder was long linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, as his contract was set to expire next year. However, Manchester United are the club to have snapped up the Armenian, with a fee reportedly in the region of £26 million.

The Man United faithful were ecstatic at the good news, coming just days after Zlatan Ibrahimovic revealed that he would be joining United.

Arsenal were one of the clubs linked with Mkhitaryan, and needless to say, there was also some heavy duty trolling going on.
