After a shaky first half, Liverpool ran out comfortable 4-1 winners against Stoke aided by a brilliant substitute appearance from Divock Origi. The Belgian bagged a brace in a win that will give the Reds confidence for Dortmund’s visit on Thursday.

20-year old Divock Origi has had a fantastic week for the Reds. From scoring a crucial away goal at the fabled Signal Iduna Park to scoring a brace tonight at Anfield, the Belgian has certainly turned the tide on his Liverpool career.

With one eye on the crucial 2nd leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Dortmund, Klopp made seven changes to the starting lineup handing starts to Kevin Stewart, Joe Allen,  Kolo Toure and Martin Skrtel. Roberto Firmino returned to the lineup having been out with an injury while Sheyi Ojo was given his full debut at Anfield. Sturridge headed the Reds’ attack ahead of Divock Origi.

Moreno got the afternoon running with an absolute ripper from 25 yards out.

Ojo who’d had a decent afternoon assisting Sturridge’s goal that put Liverpool back in the lead, was then subbed at half-time giving way to Origi. It was the Belgian’s show after that.
