Sixteen-year-old Liverpool FC striker Ben Woodburn scored an outrageous goal in the young Reds’ comfortable 3-0 victory over Cardiff City in the FA Youth Cup fourth round tie on Wednesday.

Liverpool FC’s U18 side made light work of Cardiff City on Wednesday to book their place in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup. Easily the most memorable moment from the game was young striker Ben Woodburn’s piece of magic to give the Reds the lead in the 17th minute.

Young defender Adam Phillips played a superb long ball to his team-mate up front, who controlled the ball on his chest on the run, before cheekily lobbing the keeper with his second touch. The instinct and technical ability to pull off such an effort takes something special, and the football world may just see a lot more of Ben Woodburn in the coming years.

Here is a video of the spectacular strike. Remember the name!
