The thrilling 3-3 draw between Manchester United and Newcastle United at St James’ Park saw Wayne Rooney finally putting in a captain’s performance as he played a part in all 3 of United’s goals.
The Red Devils looked to be heading for a much-needed win, taking the lead twice in the game, but a spirited Newcastle United fought back to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat with a last minute equalizer.
Despite the shared point, the Red Devils fans will be breathing a huge sigh of relief as their team finally clicked in the goal scoring department and captain Wayne Rooney, who had gone from hero to zero at Old Trafford, gave his fans something to cheer about after a lackluster season so far.
