FC Goa went down to Bangu Atletico Clube 3-1 in the first of their six pre-season games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The match took place at Zico 10, head coach Zico’s academy.

Bangu began the game on the front foot and dominated proceedings since the opening whistle. The Goan defence seemed to all over the place as their opponents raced into a three goal lead at the break.

The Indian side came back fighting in the second period, but they failed to win the game. Full back Fulganco Cardozo pulled one back for Zico’s side, but Bangu ran out comfortable 3-1 winners on the day.
