ISL signs deal with Swiss firm Sportsradar for integrity services

Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) are the major promoters behind the Indian super League (ISL) and they have reportedly signed a three month deal – from October to December 2016 – with Sportsradar, as it’s chief integrity officers for the duration of the ISL.

Sportsradar offers Integrity Services, observing international sports betting markets for any dubious activity over a period of time, while offering accurate data for investigations as well.

The company’s mechanism involves the use of a vast array of sports data and digital data accumulated at its disposal, which it then processes to weed out match-fixers. Presently, the Switzerland-based organization boasts 800 customers in over 80 countries.

In this regard, 230 football leagues around the world have signed up for the firm’s services.

Atletico de Kolkata lose first friendly to CA Pinto 3-4

Atletico de Kolkata, the Indian Super League’s (ISL) Bengal representatives, tasted defeat for the first time under newly instated coach Jose Molina, in a pre-season friendly against Spanish side Club Atletico (CA) Pinto, despite staging a late fight back.

Pinto, a Madrid-based club participating in the Tercera Division of the Spanish division, beat the Indian franchisee by a 4-3 score line. The match was hosted in Los Angeles de SanRafael, Segovia, Spain.

Sanchez opened the scoring for CA Pinto as he rifled home in the 18th minute. It was immediately followed by his second as he who drilled a shot in from the upper right corner of the 18 yard-box.

Things went from bad to worse as Nico Ybarra calmly dispatched a penalty to make it 3-0 after half time.

Javi Lara then dispatched home a penalty awarded to Kolkata in the 66th minute to make to 3-1.

However, Dani Ramos restored the Spanish side’s lead with a low shot that beat the goalkeeper into the lower left hand corner.

Then with eight minutes left to play, Juan Beloncos  made it 4-2 with a cool finish  into the bottom right corner.

Kolkata’s Doutie made it 4-3 in the 90th minute as he beat his marker and slotted the ball home past the keeper.

But Kolkata could not complete the fight back, and the score remained 4-3 in favour of the Spanish side.
