We provide potentially marketable betting tips for Gameweek 12 of the Premier League featuring Manchester United vs Manchester City as the Match of the Day.

The Champions League Group Stage might be over for the Premier League bigwigs but the fixtures will keep on coming, with the world entering the holiday month and the end of 2020. The 12th gameweek has some festive fireworks just for the cause, with Leeds and West Ham kicking us off on Friday Night featuring a tactical supreme leader against an adaptable manager on his redemption arc.

Saturday starts with a match between Wolves and Aston Villa but the star attraction will be the Manchester derby at Old Trafford as Manchester United welcome Manchester City in what could be labelled as a season-defining derby, despite being so early into the season. Everton vs Chelsea at Goodison will be another one for the neutrals, especially with Frank Lampard’s side flying high so far this season.

Liverpool take on Fulham, Arsenal go up against Burnley and Leicester City have Brighton to face on Sunday as we are set to be privy to another entertaining London derby when Crystal Palace host Tottenham. Sheffield United will have their task cut out in the search for their first win in the 2020/21 Premier League as they travel to St. Mary’s to face Southampton.

This derby has more at stake than just the three points on offer. Manchester United can move to within 2 points off the top of the Premier League if they manage a win. Manchester City, on the other hand, can really shoot a warning shot after failing to land consistent displays this season.

Expect Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to use Fred and Scott McTominay to stifle City in midfield and the pace of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial upfront. Pep Guardiola will hope he can rely on Sergio Aguero to rattle the United defence. A draw could be the ideal result on Saturday.

Favourable Tips

1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.61

Hot Ones

1. Anthony Martial to score anytime @ 3.00

Everton vs Chelsea

James Rodriguez’s injury puts Everton on the backfoot ahead of Chelsea’s Saturday visit. Chelsea are on song and their attacking unit seems to have finally joined in on the symphony. Still, Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be a tough predicament for the Chelsea defence and we should ideally see Everton at least get a goal on the board. Chelsea have the edge though.

Favourable Tips

1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.61

Hot Ones

1. Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score anytime @ 2.87

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham

Tottenham have done brilliantly to lead the Premier League going into the festive period. However, they risk losing the spot with a flurry of fixtures coming in, especially with Liverpool having managed to match the run despite long-term injuries to key players.

This London derby often becomes an entertaining watch for the neutrals. But, we are going with a Tottenham win just based on the fact that they are yet to lose an away game this season.

Favourable Tips

1. Tottenham to win @ 1.72

Hot Ones

1. Wilfried Zaha to score anytime @ 3.75

Fulham vs Liverpool

Scott Parker’s men showed they are no pushovers with a spirited win over Leicester and a good performance in a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City subsequently. Up against a Liverpool side that struggled during the midweek; although a case could be made for the barrage of changes done by Jurgen Klopp for the dead rubber; Fulham will under the cosh once again and will have to dig deep. They should be good enough to score on Sunday.

Favourable Tips

1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.70

Hot Ones

1. Diogo Jota to score 2 or more @ 4.00

Arsenal vs Burnley

Mikel Arteta’s team is in dire straits in domestic competitions, despite Arsenal being the only club to have won all of their European fixtures this season. Burnley have shown some improvement but find themselves in the relegation zone again, thanks to Fulham’s win over Leicester two gameweeks ago.

Sean Dyche will be aware of Arsenal’s horrendous home record this season and will look to use the nerves in the home side’s dressing room to his advantage. Long balls should become a common occurrence at Emirates on Sunday, with Burnley tipped to get something from the game.

Favourable Tips

1. Arsenal Clean Sheet – NO @ 1.66

Hot Ones

1. Full-Time Result – Draw or Burnley @ 2.37

Best of the Rest

Leicester are the only outright favourites to land a win over their Sunday opponents Brighton. Newcastle will rely on Callum Wilson to have his scoring boots on as they host an improving West Brom side. Sheffield United are looking for scraps at this point and may be able to get a draw at Southampton if Chris Wilder does set his side up defensively.

Favourable Tips

1. Leicester to beat Brighton @ 2.00

2. Callum Wilson to score anytime @ 2.50

Hot Ones

1. Southampton vs Sheffield United – Full-Time Result – Draw @ 3.75
