The 2019-20 Premier League is getting into the ‘dirty’ zone, with the crunch February, March period just ahead. For now, the clubs have to deal with the rigours of multiple matchdays in a week. A resurgent Watford side host Tottenham that are without Harry Kane and a lot of other first-team stars.
Everton have a chance of getting into the Top 10 provided they win against West Ham and other results go their way. Arsenal’s improvement under Mikel Arteta will come under scrutiny as they go up against high-flying Sheffield United, who have lost just twice away from home in the 2019-20 Premier League.
Brighton and Aston Villa play out a relegation six-pointer, as do Norwich and Bournemouth. Manchester City will look to continue their winning streak when they host Crystal Palace. Southampton are on a fairytale run and could enter the top half with a win over Wolves, provided other results go their way. Newcastle United will look to arrest their four-game winless streak when they host Chelsea.
Leicester will aim to avoid back-to-back defeats and lose their grip in top three when they travel to Burnley. The big game though, is Liverpool vs Manchester United, the only team to have taken points off the current Premier League leaders.

Watford vs Tottenham
Tottenham are in a world of trouble, with injuries piling up. Their Saturday opponents on the other hand, have finally escaped the treacherous pit that is the relegation zone. But, Nigel Pearson would love to use the run of form to steer further clear of the relegation and do away with any potential talk of going down this season.
Tottenham still have the tools to trouble Watford. But, the home side seem to be on a high right now and an injury-stricken Tottenham might just become the Hornets’ next meal.

Arsenal vs Sheffield United
The true test for Mikel Arteta; for his attacking side to break down a Sheffield United defence that has conceded the fewest goals in the league this season bar Liverpool; for his defence to keep the Blades at bay, given Arsenal’s struggles at the back.
Chris Wilder will be looking at the matchup and the gameweek in general, as an opportunity to move up to fifth, with Manchester United away at Liverpool. Expect both teams to go at it, with a share of spoils the ideal result.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace
There’s no looking past Manchester City here. Crystal Palace may be coming into the match on the back of a credible 1-1 draw against Arsenal. But, the trailblazing and free-scoring form that Manchester City find themselves in, it will be tough for the away side to get anything from the match. Expect a clean win for City.

Newcastle vs Chelsea
Chelsea should be good for a win on Saturday. But, that has been said so many times, with Frank Lampard’s men stuttering a bit every now and then. Still, Steve Bruce’s Newcastle side are without a win in 4 and are likely to extend the streak to 5, with many first-team stars on the treatment table.

Liverpool vs Manchester United
Manchester United have a tall task at hand; to do something no other team has been able to do so far in the Premier League. But, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have already achieved that once this season, holding Liverpool to a draw in a result that very well may have been a win if not for the late Liverpool pressure.
But, with Marcus Rashford a doubt, the hopes are already low for a Sunday miracle. A 0-0 is the best United fans would be gunning for right now. But, Liverpool should have enough about them to unlock the United defence.

Steer away from Brighton vs Aston Villa but Bournemouth and Norwich should be a goalmouth affair. Southampton should be the favourites going into the Wolves game, with the two teams on contrasting runs compared to their position on the Premier League table. Everton should continue to spur on under Carlo Ancelotti.
