International break can build or destroy forms, which is why it is difficult to use present data to make sense of whom to pick or spend the free transfer on. Hence, we are here to help you with options to skim the differential advantage all while earning points by making the right squad decisions in the FPL.

Gameweek 9 is a bad matchday for FPL users with any Watford players in it. Users should also avoid Manchester United players, with the club hosting Liverpool on Sunday. Still, there are good picks available for users that have high-profile stars. Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are all good options to captain for the gameweek.

Teemu Pukki and Kevin De Bruyne are popular transfers out of FPL teams this week and the users might rue their decisions. But, the mass transfers of Mohamed Salah and Hugo Lloris make sense, with the duo set to miss action in Gameweek 9. Talking about transfers, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and James Maddison are among the popular choices to be brought in by FPL users.

Mohamed Salah’s transfers have seen Sadio Mane being brought in by the FPL users. Let us see our five options for the Free Transfer available to FPL users.

Paulo Gazzaniga (Tottenham) – Goalkeeper – £4.4

Owned by 1.1% of the FPL users, Paulo Gazzaniga is a prime option for teams that had Hugo Lloris and would like a budget goalkeeper for the foreseeable future. With Lloris set to be out for a considerable amount of time, Gazzaniga is likely to be the first-choice for Tottenham for a few months.

At £4.4, a certain starter is possibly the best available option for users in the goalkeeping section, especially with his price likely to allow users to eke in better players in other positions on their FPL teams. Tottenham face Liverpool and Manchester United in their next 10 fixtures. But, apart from that, the 8 games should provide high chances of clean sheets.

Raul Jimenez (Wolves) – Forward – £7.1

Wolves have turned around their woeful start to the Premier League season in fantastic fashion. Their latest was a win over Manchester City. Raul Jimenez was the catalyst of the win, setting up Adama Traore twice. The Mexican international is an all-round package and could get going.

Jimenez is already a popular pick and is already in 9.1% of the FPL teams. With just Arsenal to face in the next 8 games in terms of strong oppositions, perhaps, the Wolves striker should be in more teams and might just become a prime transfer in during the gameweeks to come. Hence, FPL users can jump the queue by bringing him in this Gameweek itself.

Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal) – Midfielder – £9.3

The Arsenal summer signing is slowly starting to find end product to his game in England, with a goal and an assist in his last 3 Premier League matches. Arsenal have a comparatively easier run-in for the foreseeable month or two and Pepe could be a brilliant differential option, for now, at the very least.

The Ivorian is currently in just 3.4% of the teams, which is likely to increase as the season wears on. Pepe isn’t necessarily a gamble but could be an alternate and cheaper option to Kevin De Bruyne and others, if he gets going.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea) – Midfielder – £5.9

Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have become a constant theme in many-a-FPL team by now. But, there is one player that ought to be brought in by FPL users who are hopeful of gaining points from Chelsea players in the future – Callum Hudson-Odoi. Fresh out from a long-term injury, Hudson-Odoi is easily set to be a starter for Chelsea in the upcoming weeks.

Assists in consecutive Premier League games have already laid the foundation and shown a glimpse of what is to come from the explosive winger. Owned by just 1.7% of the FPL users, Hudson-Odoi will likely begin to take preference over Mason Mount soon and this might be the right time to jump ship and go for the ‘better’ Chelsea star.

The price also does a huge favour to Hudson-Odoi. While it may be subject to rise in the coming gameweeks, for now, £5.9 is an absolute steal and makes him an un-ignorable option.

Adama Traore (Wolves) – Midfielder – £5.1

Another Wolves player and rightly so. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is the in-form team in the Premier League right now, apart from Liverpool obviously. Adama Traore has started finding end product to add to the problems his pace causes on a regular basis. His runs now have a meaning and his teammates found him out with perfection against Manchester City.

Expect Adama Traore to become a popular pick soon, with his numbers already seeing a rise this week, jumping to 3.0%, The Wolves speedster might race his way into more and more FPL teams soon. A great differential option for Gameweek 9, along with Hudson-Odoi.
