We take a look at some of the potentially profitable markets from the 21st gameweek of the Premier League featuring Chelsea, Manchester United and more.

2019 is upon us. Premier League, unlike other major European leagues, have not been on holiday, which ups the tempo for the first gameweek of the new year. The teams have to adjust to the fitness levels of the players due to the congested schedule, which creates more room for upsets and shock results.

The gameweek sets us off with an enticing matchup between Everton and Leicester City. Arsenal are up against a Fulham side that come into the fixture on the back of a narrow but crucial 1-0 win over fellow relegation contender Huddersfield. Cardiff will be up against it when they face a Tottenham side that will be looking to bounce back from their 3-1 loss to Wolves.

Chelsea face a rejuvenated Southampton while Manchester United will look to continue their winning run when they visit Newcastle. The matchday ends with possibly a title decider, with Manchester City hosting Liverpool, who are already seven points clear over their Thursday match.

Before we move on to the profitable markets, let us take a look at how things panned out for us in the twentieth gameweek.

Fulham can sniff the safe ground now, thanks to the 1-0 win over Huddersfield. But, Claudio Ranieri’s job has been made a tad bit tougher, with key players suffering injuries. Arsenal are in a similar predicament, with several of their first-team stars out on the sidelines.

Expect a very open game, with perhaps Arsenal’s attacking lineup ensuring a win over the away side.

Favourable Bets

1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.70

2. Arsenal Asian Handicap – 1.5 @ 1.950

Underdog Bets

1. Over 4.5 Match Goals @ 3.50

Chelsea vs Southampton

After a sprightly start under Ralph Hasenhuttl, Southampton come into the match against Chelsea on the back of consecutive losses, which has brought them within one point of 19th-placed Fulham and into the relegation heap once again. But, Chelsea could be ripe for the taking.

Already a very small core, the win over Crystal Palace came at the cost of more injuries to key stars. On the other hand, the Blues don’t seem as convincing as early season. Expect an even matchup, with Saints likely to snatch a point or maybe even three.

Favourable Bets

1. Southampton Asian Handicap + 2.0 @ 1.625

2. Over 10.5 Corners @ 1.83

Underdog Bets

1. Full Time Result – Draw or Southampton @ 3.75

Newcastle vs Manchester United

The merry feeling is back at Manchester United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making the team play the United way. Three impressive results have raised the morale and confidence, which will help them when they visit Newcastle. Rafa Benitez and his men have struggled at home this season and perhaps, are facing United at the wrong time.

Expect goals and perhaps, even a first clean sheet for Solskjaer as the United manager.

Favourable Bets

1.  Manchester United to win @ 1.60

2. Manchester United Clean Sheet – YES @ 2.50

3. Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.72

Underdog Bets

1. Penalty in the Match – YES @ 4.00

Manchester City vs Liverpool

The match that might decide the fate of Liverpool’s title credentials. The Reds are on song and are yet to drop a game. Seven points clear of Manchester City, a win on Thursday will open up a 10-point gap and more importantly make them the outright favourites for the 2018-19 Premier League title.

City returned to winning ways against Southampton. But, the defence still looks brittle and up against a Liverpool attack that is reminiscent of a ram, there are bound to be goals at Etihad on Thursday. Expect City to be fired up to reduce the deficit to just four points. Liverpool though, are slight favourites going into the match.

Favourable Bets

1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.57

2. Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.66

3. Sergio Aguero to score anytime @ 1.83

Underdog Bets

1. Both Teams to Score in 1st Half – YES @ 4.00
