We take a look at some of the potentially profitable markets from the 19th gameweek of the Premier League featuring Chelsea, Manchester United and more.

The Boxing Day is round the corner and with it comes one of the most exciting Premier League matchdays. The schedule has altered compared to the Boxing Day gameweeks of earlier seasons. But, the festive time combined with fixture congestion brings about a lot of surprises for the fans.

Fulham and Wolves kick us off on Boxing Day, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham among teams following suit. Brighton host Arsenal while Chelsea travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford. Southampton vs West Ham is the only fixture of the gameweek that is not on Boxing Day.

Before we move on to the profitable markets, let us take a look at how things panned out for us in the eighteenth gameweek.

Favourable Bets Result: 5/8

Underdog Bets Result: 1/5

THT Favourable Bets Overall: 125/230

Liverpool vs Newcastle United

Rafa Benitez’s homecoming, of sorts. The Spaniard was one of the most successful managers in the Premier League era for Liverpool and is now managing to keep Newcastle United competitive despite little backing in the transfer market. The recent head-to-head is evenly poised. But, Newcastle have not managed to make much of their visits to Anfield.

Liverpool are top of the table and would not want to lose steam now. Expect an even encounter, but for Liverpool to edge it.

Favourable Bets

1. Newcastle Asian Handicap +2.5 @ 1.650

2. Under 3.5 Match Goals @ 1.66

Underdog Bets

1. Under 1.5 Liverpool goals @ 4.00

Manchester United vs Huddersfield

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has overseen his first win and in a thumping manner. The Norwegian will now be looking forward to his first home game in charge of Manchester United. Huddersfield are struggling for points and this might be the best time for United to face them. Expect a straight forward win for the home side.

Favourable Bets

1. Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.61

2. Both Teams to Score – NO @ 1.61

Underdog Bets

1. Over 2.5 Match Goals and Both Teams to Score – NO @ 3.50

Brighton vs Arsenal

Brighton have hit a bit of an iceberg, with three losses in a row. Arsenal can now charge towards the top three, with the Gunners now level with Chelsea for fourth but for an inferior goal difference. Brighton have done well this season before the three losses and they did shock Arsenal the last time the Gunners paid a visit.

We believe Arsenal will do enough to go back home with all three points.

Favourable Bets

1. Arsenal to win @ 1.72

2. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.70

Underdog Bets

1. Over 14 Corners @ 9.00

Watford vs Chelsea

Watford have returned to winning ways and perhaps, at the best time. Chelsea seem to be struggling to get the best out of their strike-force and look vulnerable. The Blues are in danger of dropping out of the top four. Chelsea have lost two of their last three away games in the league.

Watford may not have drawn a game at home so far this season. But, that could very well be the case against Chelsea.

Favourable Bets

1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.70

2. Over 9.5 Corners @ 1.80

Underdog Bets

1. Full Time Result – Draw @ 3.80

Miscellaneous Bets

Fulham need a win against Wolves if they are to avoid being left out altogether towards the bottom. Leicester and Manchester City will have an intriguing matchup. Southampton are the in-form side and will be a tough proposition for West Ham. Everton will be looking to bounce back from the humiliation against Spurs, when they travel to face Burnley.

Favourable Bets

1. Everton to beat Burnley @ 1.95

2. Crystal Palace to beat Cardiff @ 1.66

3. Leicester vs Manchester City – Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.95

4. Southampton vs West Ham – Southampton Draw No Bet @ 1.57

Underdog Bets

1. Fulham to beat Wolves @ 3.20
