The one-stop shop to explore all the potential options for your Fantasy team as the Premier League heads into the third Matchday.

We are back with our weekly dose of tips for Fantasy Premier League users. In here, we will give you options to consider using your substitution(s) on while also providing our Picked XI for the Gameweek.

Let’s delve straight into the thick of things.

Neil Etheridge – GK – Cardiff – £4.5

Cardiff have already gotten themselves on the board and one of the reasons for the same has been their goalkeeper Neil Etheridge. His heroics against Newcastle United were there for all to see as Cardiff bagged a draw, despite being on the receiving end of a barrage of attacks.

Six saves against Newcastle, Etheridge has also saved two penalties already – one each against Bournemouth and Newcastle. Priced at £4.5, Etheridge is a good option to have in your squad, at least as the second keeper, if not the preferred one.

Harry Maguire – DEF – Leicester – £5.5

A defender who has risen in stature after a great World Cup campaign, his botched move to Manchester United means he is still priced at a bargain £5.5. Leicester face Southampton, a team that have scored just one goal so far in the two games played.

The Foxes would be buoyed by the clean sheet against Wolves and it could be time for Maguire and his teammates to string together a series of good performances at the back. A good buy, at least for the next few fixtures, with Liverpool the only big challenge in the next 6 matches.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – MID – Arsenal – £7.1

If there is one player you need to use your substitution on, it has to be Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Not only has he hit form against Chelsea, Arsenal’s next few fixtures provide encouragement and hope that the Armenian will pocket you a healthy amount of points, should you select him.

Criminally underpriced at £7.1, expect his value to rise after the next 5 fixtures. A must-have for you for the upcoming few gameweeks.

Richarlison – MID – Everton – £6.8

Richarlison, like his previous season, has started with a bang. But, the spree only lasts for a few weeks, as evidenced during his maiden season in England. Thus, this will be a shrewd signing but only for the next few weeks. Expect him to drop off as the season progresses.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – FWD – Fulham – £6.5

Fulham have an array of stars. But, the attack’s focal point is Aleksandar Mitrovic. Expect Fulham to hit top gear in the coming few weeks and the form of Mitrovic will be key to the club’s fortunes. At £6.5, he is worth keeping in your team, but not one you should spend your only substitution on.

Pick Of the Week

We tip you to use your only substitution to bring in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, if you don’t already have him in your team. The Armenian has already proven himself in one London derby and could run riot again against West Ham United. Unai Emery’s tactics seem to be suiting Mkhitaryan and if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts firing again, expect Mkhitaryan to rack up more assists to his name.
