Daniel Sturridge may have scored eighteen league goals for Liverpool this season, but England manager Roy Hodgson still believes that the striker needs to adjust his game according to the demands of the English team to play an important part for his nation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Sturridge has mainly played as the sole striker for his club with Luis Suarez being shifted to the flanks, but during England’s game against Denmark he was made to play on the left side with Wayne Rooney being at the centre. He has been criticised in the English media and now the German media has joined the bandwagon with many questioning his place in the World Cup squad that is about to start in less than hundred days. Sport Witness ran a story which states “The Arsenal player is too individual, and his ability to lead a team is questioned as is his current state of mind.
