Manchester United winger Memphis Depay has come under fresh criticism as former Dutch player Ruud Gullit thrashed him for arriving to training with a fancy new car

The Red Devils have been struggling of late, with there being a lot of cries from the stands to sack manager Louis van Gaal. The main reason that the fans seem to be fed up with Van Gaal is the fact that his expensive summer signings (including Depay) have not been performing well.

a I am a fan [of Depay], and I will keep my faith in him but he must do something about the fact that he has been labelled the worst buy in the Premier League in 2015,a Gullit was quoted saying by the Daily Mirror.

a He needs to deliver. He has a lot of qualities, but to fulfill his potential he has to stay low-key in his personal life. If you dona t perform, you must not turn up in a brand new Rolls Royce and a new Hummer at the training ground.a

Memphis needs to perform, says Gullit .

The Dutch starlet has just scored just four goals in 21 appearances in all competitions this season, and has failed to justify the a 27.5 million that Manchester United shelled out in the summer for him. Gullit believes that poor performances can be amplified in England due to the scrutiny of the British media, and this is something that Depay has to get used to.

“If you dona t like it, dona t come to the Premier League,” added Gullit. “In England, there are lots of papers. That creates pressure, but it also creates big salaries for the players. All you have to do is perform.”
