Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard has slammed his former teammate Raheem Sterling after the winger’s poor performance in Manchester City’s 2-1 defeat against Juventus.

Sterling had swapped Anfield for Etihad in a controversial A?49million deal, with Gerrard having criticised his conduct to secure the move.

Sterling’s end product was poor as the attacker missed a host of glorious chances for the Citizens, when they were 1-0 up, which later on proved to be costly as Juventus scored twice to win 2-1 at the Etihad to take back three valuable points to Turin in the tough Group D.

Gerrard, who is signed up by BT Sports for punditry, slammed the winger for failing to take his chances.
