Arsenal went to The Hawthorns as favourites against West Bromwich Albion, but suffered a humbling defeat as Santi Cazorla skied a penalty when the score was 2-1, which went on to be the full time score.

Santi Cazorla hadn’t scored for Arsenal in 34 games prior to the match and he extended that run to 35 as he missed a penalty in the 84th minute. Cazorla slipped as he took the shot and it ricocheted off his other leg and flew out into the stands to cheers from the home crowd.

West Brom emerged winners in the match, despite Arsenal taking the early lead, through a James Morrison volley and a Mikel Arteta own goal.

Here’s a video of the missed penalty that could have brought Arsenal level.
