FIFA have named their final shortlist for the Puskas Award, and yet again, FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has managed to make it to the final three.
The Puskas Award is an annual award given to the player who has scored the best goal in the calendar year. Th award has been named after the legendary Hungary and Real Madrid striker Ferenc Puskas, who had scored an incredible 85 goals from 84 matches for his country, and 180 goals from 156 matches for Los Blancos. .
Other than the Messi goal against Atletico Bilbao, FIFA also nominated AS Roma fullback Alessandro Florenzi, who scored against FC Barcelona from the half-way line, and Wenedell Lira, who scored an outrageous goal with a bicycle kick. Here are the videos of the three incredible goals.
