FC Barcelona superstar Neymar has named Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos as one of the toughest defenders he has had to face during his career.
Neymar, who is currently recovering after being diagnosed with mumps, had missed FC Barcelona’s UEFA Super Cup win over Seville.
The Barcelona star described the Real Madrid centre-back as “a great defender” when asked who he considered to be the most difficult stopper he has played against.
Also included in the list of toughest defenders the Brazil star has faced, were team-mates Javier Mascherano and Gerard Pique, along with countryman Thiago Silva.
“It’s hard to say, there are so many top defenders,” he said during a Q&A session with Fifa TV. “Mascherano, Pique, Thiago Silva, Sergio Ramos – he’s a great centre-back. There’s a lot.”
Neymar also went onto discuss his Fifa Puskas Award winning goal in 2011 when he scored a brilliant solo goal.
