The New Zealand rugby league side visited Liverpool FC and had a training session at Melwood ahead of their clash with England on Saturday for the Baskerville Shield

 

New Zealand rugby is famous around the world not only for producing quality international sides, but also for their pre-match ritual known as the ‘Haka’ — a tribal warrior-dance aimed at intimidating opponents.

The Kiwi rugby league side had a training session at Melwood this week, ahead of their sold-out game against England in Wigan to determine the winner of the Baskerville Shield. As a token of their appreciation, the team performed an impromptu ‘haka’ at the Liverpool FC canteen.
