Spain hosted England in an international friendly in Alicante on Friday, as a test to assess their squad depth ahead of their UEFA Euro 2016 campaign in France, but it was Mario Gaspar’s stunning goal that stole the show.

The Three Lions came into the game on the back of a 15 match unbeaten streak, but will be mightily disappointed after having gone down to a Spanish side that was testing out their squad ahead of the major international event in France.

The Spanish right-back Mario Gaspar marked his senior team debut against Ukraine with a goal, but will be elated not only to have extended his goal-scoring run, but having done so in such an incredible fashion.

Marioa s stunning acrobatic overhead kick in the 72nd minute seemed to knock the stuffing out of England, as the Three Lions went on to lose 2-0.
