Liverpool FC won a resounding 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium, and it was an unlikely scorer in Martin Skrtel who drove the final nail into the coffin with an 81st minute scorcher that flew past Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart. .

 

The 20-year-old Slovakian centre-back is hardly the first name that comes to mind when one thinks of Liverpool FC, but the defender has been a mainstay at Anfield for a while now and he is the only remaining member of the side that last won against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium seven and a half years ago. It is only fitting that he scored the final goal of the game in ferocious fashion.
